The Liberation Portal: Libra Full Moon + Venus Direct Guide
Rituals, insights, a playlist, journal prompts and MORE 🌹
So, Mercury went direct earlier this week, but if you are still feeling the pain you are NOT alone. The big finale to the shit show we have been living through so far this year is coming on Saturday, March 12th as Venus goes direct within 30 minutes of a Libra Full Moon. If you’ve been struggling with insecurities and/or ability to move forward on fucking anything, I’m here to tell you that the confidence is going to find it’s way back to your god damned aura this weekend, but not without some fireworks. This Full Moon marks the turning point of being completely through eclipse season and it’s offering a serious portal of reflection with a push and shove to take action through feeling, healing and commitment to being the newly excavated you (complete with shadowy bits and all).
here is a sexy + foreign lil playlist to support your confidence returning back 10-fold
Since December 2024 we have been in back-to-back-to-back retrogrades and it has taken a toll on us individually and collectively. If you have felt failure to launch so far in 2025, please know you are not alone. We are about to hit a major turning point, but through the end of April we are STILL verrrry much understanding how we will commit to ourselves and our desires based on what we have learned on the battle field since March 1st (but honestly, all of 2025) and what that action will look AND feel like.
I gotta be honest, this Moon is giving telenovela - there's lots of storylines, someone is probably gonna cry, but after all is said is done there is a serious glow up. Let's begin with the basics which is that this lunation is ruled by Venus, who is going to be coming out of retrograde and stationing direct at the SAME DAMN TIME as the Full Moon. When a planet is stationing direct there is a long pause of stillness, really emphasizing the EXHALE energy of this Full Moon in relation to the tumultuous past few months. This moon being ruled by a moving Venus portends major shifts in direction, clarity and confidence when it comes to all things Venusian (relationships, values, self-worth, aesthetics, finances).
BUT ALSO, Venus IS still conjunct Saturn (through the end of the month really), which defiantly plays into the storyline of diminished confidence and negative self talk we have been experiencing since March 1st. However, this meeting also extends an invite to COMMIT, to have DISCERNMENT. Honestly, Venus and Saturn share some values, with Venus being at home in Libra and Saturn being exalted there, they both value quality, refinement and commitment. I’m reading their team up as a nudge to commit to the desires and values you’ve recently gained clarity on thanks to Venus retrograde.
Meanwhile, the Moon is directly opposing a Sun-Chiron conjunction in Aries, putting a spotlight on our deepest wounds. Honestly, this little pairing is really reminding us how fresh our bruises from eclipse season still are by poking and prodding at them. We're all being invited to look at our most tender spots - particularly those related to our identity, self-assertion, and bravery. The key insight here is that YOU being fully, authentically YOU is actually the medicine needed to heal these wounds. This isn't about transcending your wounds or pretending they're not there - it's about incorporating them into your wholeness. Your scars are part of your story, and there's power in owning them
On top of all of this we also have Mars in Cancer squaring off with both the Sun-Chiron link-up and the Moon, adding a layer of reactive feelings and defensive actions to the mix. You'll hear other astrologers talk about squares being a "hard" or "tense" aspect, I mean it is when 2 planets are 90 degrees apart, which means the rubberband is pulled tiiiight but you know what a square really requires? ACTION. You know what it's great for? MANIFESTATION. So even if there are some bruises being poked at, that poke has the power to prompt action toward healing and committing to our desires.
The cardinal quality of this Full Moon is all about initiation and taking the lead. It's giving "time to make a move" energy. Whether that's having a difficult but necessary conversation, setting a boundary, or taking a decisive step toward something you want - you are being nudged you to act. When you feel that tension building, don't run from it. Use it. Channel it. Direct it toward what needs energy.
I hope this Full Moon brings you the confidence reset and healing breakthrough you've been waiting for. If you’re hungry to dive deeper, my April books are open, but my availability is super limited so grab your spot before its gone here. Don’t forget, if you are an Aries or Aries Rising you get 15% off your year-ahead reading with code BDAY.
Ok, I know I said this Moon is great for manifesting, but honestly I think MANY of us need some clearing, cleaning and release after all we have been through. So even you end up feeling clear on something you are ready to magnetize toward you, I recommend doing at least the calling back of your energy visualization.
Calling Back Your Power Visualization
Find a comfortable seated position and close your eyes. Take three breathes counting to 3 for the inhale and 5 for the exhale, we really want to emphasize the exhale and the release. Picture your aura surrounding your body and watch the outline of it buzz bright, electric blue. Feel into your auric space, noticing the size of it at this current time.
Now, imagine you are holding some sort of container - a bucket, a basket - anything will do. Think about all the places where pieces of your energy have been scattered during these past months of retrograde and eclipse chaos. See them as glowing fragments of your light that have been left behind or given away in:
Stressful situations
Challenging relationships
Projects that drained you
Doom scrolling
Worries about the future
Regrets about the past
Insecurity
Negative self talk
Speak aloud: "I call back all of my energy, my power, my confidence, and my clarity from all times, all places, all people, and all situations where I have left it. This energy is mine and I reclaim it now." Visualize those scattered fragments of light beginning to pulse, vibrate, and then return to your container like shooting stars.
Once you have collected all the fragments, pour your container over your head, feeling your pure, bright energy returning back into your body and your aura. Feel the golden light dripping over your head like honey, pulsing through your bold and penetrating your bones until it completely fills your aura. Feel your body becoming more grounded, centered, and full. Notice the sensation of being more present and complete.
When you feel the process is complete, place your hands on your heart and say: "I am sovereign in my energy. What's mine is mine. What's not mine, I release." Take a final deep breath and open your eyes.
Adding Protection to Your Aura
This is great to do after calling your energy back but you can do it AT ANY TIME to create energetic boundaries, space and to protect yourself. Close your eyes and picture you aura, a white light emanating around your body. Find the edge of it and watch is spark with electric blue light. Above the top of your head and at the edge of your aura, plant a giant rose and watch it bloom, shrouding you in protection. Within in the center of the rose speak “I am divinely protected.” You can get specific and state what you are protected from or just keep it general. Add as many roses to the edge of your aura as feels right for you.

Manifestation Station
If after clearing your energy you're feeling ready to manifest, here is a sweet lil ritual for you.
Gather these materials:
Paper for cutting
Paper for writing
Colored pens or markers
Scissors
String or ribbon
Cut your paper into 7 strips (Venus’ number). Consider what it is you are calling in and manifesting - do a bit of free form writing about it. Once complete, pull out 7 aspects/pieces/words that come together to make this desire. On each strip, write down one of those pieces. One by one, weave the strips together by folding them into each other, creating a paper chain or weaving pattern. As you connect each word to the others, visualize how these pieces all come together to structure your desire. Tie your creation with ribbon and hang it somewhere visible. Check in with during Cancer season to thank it for helping you weave your desires into reality.
Venus Returns Bath
Welcome the return of confident Venusian energy into your realm with a ritual bath.
Gather these materials:
Roses, rose petals or rose essential oil (if using the oil add to 1/4 c of milk of your choice)
Plant material for smoke cleansing, ideally cedar but anything from cinnamon stick to rosemary will work
Epsom salts (1-2 cups)
Candle of any sort
Anything Venusian you would like to put on the edge your tub for an altar
Begin by tidying your bathroom space—clear counters, wipe surfaces, and create a clean canvas for your ritual. Light your candle and set your intention for welcoming Venus direct energy into your life.
Draw your bath with warm water. As the tub fills, add your Epsom salts while saying: "I release all tensions, doubts, and insecurities that arose during Venus retrograde."
Add your rose petals, flowers or essential oil to the bath, saying: "Venus, goddess of love, beauty, and worth, I honor your return to direct motion and invite your radiant energy into my field."
Light your smoke cleansing material over the tub water. Then, cleanse your own auric field by moving the smoke up and down your body. Before entering the bath, stand before the water and state aloud: "As I enter these sacred waters of Venus, I welcome her into my auric field. I welcome the integration of Venus retrograde and ask to move forward with my newfound confidence and redefined values."
Enter the bath slowly and mindfully. If possible, fully immerse yourself, including your head, as you visualize being completely enveloped in Venusian energy. While soaking, place your hands over your heart center and say: "Venus, reveal to me what I need to see or hear.” Allow yourself to float in receptive stillness for 7 minutes. Notice any images, feelings, or insights that arise.
When you feel complete, stand up and visualize rose-colored light filling your entire being from crown to feet. As the water drains, say: "What no longer serves me drains away. What empowers me remains." After the bath, anoint yourself with a natural oil or lotion, touching each part of your body with appreciation and love.
Blow out the candle and thank Venus.
